Plot Summary:America Singer is entered into a competition where the prize is the prince's heart and the crown, its called the Selection. She must decide if she is to enter, to try and move up a higher caste to help her family and gain her mothers approval, or to continue on in her caste and stay with her secret boyfriend, Aspen. She is a winner of the competition and joins 34 other girls in a life of glamour and dresses. will she stay true to Aspen? or will the prince catch her eye? and why is the palace being attacked?
